Life truly is full of surprises. Such a mantra has become a running theme for us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group. And in no other wedding have we witnessed ‘surprise’ on a grander scale as was our experience with Ellie & Matt, on their surprise wedding which took place this previous Autumn season, on a memorable October 18th, 2014 in Beamsville, Ontario. Ellie & Matt, a couple with a creative streak in their senses, had planned out an elusive surprise for their aptly prepared DIY-themed wedding day, to the delight of our videographers and cinematographers, whose lenses were present to capture every moment of suspense from their guests. Indeed, Ellie & Matt’s wedding day – from filming, preparation and editing – was one of the most creative projects our videographers and cinematographers have come across. Between filming an early morning time-lapse which outlines the events of the day, to the intricacies of how the couples’ -surprise- wedding would unfold, to the overall DIY aesthetic of their wedding, Ellie & Matt’s penchant for craftiness and creativity stood out to our videographers and cinematographers as something we rarely encounter, and something truly worthy of praise. Scroll further and be ‘surprised’ at just how perfect Ellie & Matt’s surprise wedding had turned out, and the many surprises which we encountered on such an unforgettable wedding day.
Fate has conspired once again. For those out there that are avid readers of our blog, you might remember a lovely couple by the names of Dianne & Anthony, who came to us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, for filming of both an engagement highlight film and for their full-fledged wedding. That was quite a few months ago in October. Well, ever anxious as we are here, we finally caught up with Dianne & Anthony again on the day which culminated their journey together thus far, the monumental wedding day, taking place just this past January 10th, 2015. With a new year, a new start and a new life ahead of them, Dianne & Anthony were ever excited just as how our videographers and cinematographers met them at first; eager to pave new paths in their lives together. And we here at SDE Weddings were utmost proud in helping the all-too-spirited couple in capturing and commemorating such a momentous day in their lives. With a complete Catholic wedding ceremony at Mississauga’s Cristo Rei Parish, an evening to start a lifetime with at Mississauga’s Apollo Convention Centre, our videographers and cinematographers capturing every sentimental moment, and our namesake Same-Day-Edit played for them to close the night, Dianne & Anthony couldn’t ask for anything more perfect. Keep your cursors scrolled to learn more about Dianne & Anthony, their unforgettable wedding day, and how our videographers and cinematographers helped to make their matrimonial magic last a lifetime.
The ‘best day of my life’, for many to categorize, would fall on their wedding day. The moment of consummation between two people is, understandably enough, a paramount memory that often defines an entire lifetime. We here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography company, know the paramount nature of a wedding day all too well, and the equally tumultuous task of capturing every unforgettable moment which a wedding day entails. That’s why we were more than pleased in working with Amy & Ned, a Cantonese couple who were referred to us by their friends William & May, whose wedding we had filmed just this summer. Amy & Ned’s fateful wedding was set on a bright autumn day on November 15th, 2014, with a ceremony at the St. Agnes Kouying Tsao Catholic Church, a visit to Toronto’s famous Steam Whistle Brewery, and a long night of celebration and excitement at Toronto’s Liberty Grand Wedding Entertainment Complex. With a preview of Amy & Ned’s wonderful wedding in the highlight reel below, it can be no surprise if this day would rank among the best of Amy & Ned’s lives together. “Happy first day of the rest of our lives”, a line that is both lovely and curiously profound, shared by Sam to his beloved Jennifer in a letter addressed on the morning of their wedding day, runs deep into what makes and motivates our work here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s top wedding videography and cinematography company. There’s something deeply endearing in sharing in a couples’ “first day” of their lives, a day that ushers in an entire timeline of future memories that they’ll face and experience hand-in-hand together. Simply being there and witnessing the formation and foundation of a life shared as one is something that is immensely humbling for us as videographers and cinematographers; and for anyone who experiences it, it is truly a moment that’s impossible to take for granted. For Sam and Jennifer, the day on which the first page of their storybook lives sprung serendipitously to life was on a bright and blossoming spring saturday on May 24, 2014. Amidst a bustling crowd of family, friends and well-wishers in attent to witness the flower of Jennifer and Sam’s love to finally unfurl and blossom anew. The couples’ holy vows and priestly blessings took place in Scarborough’s Chinese Baptist Church, with a lovely evening reception in The Venetian Banquet Centre in Vaughan to wrap up the first gripping paragraph of Jennifer and Sam’s story.
