They say that a fine wine grows with age. Much in the spirit of a vintage chardonnay, the flavour of love can only grow deeper, richer and more vibrant as time goes on. We here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography company, aren’t exactly experts on the finer points of wine-related gastronomy, but can yet relate a familiar story through the grapevine. For Sabria and Karim, a couple who met long ago as neighbors in a small suburban enclave in St. Catharines, such a sentiment of love’s growth through the ages can only ring true, like the sizzling sound of a wineglass, to their story. Slowly but surely, their individual vines symbolic of their lives would grow to envelop each other. Each one enfolding the thorns of the other, bearing fruit for the other, till the bounty of their love grew complete and was set and ready for harvest. With a wedding feast held at ‘The Stone Mill’ in St. Catharines on April 5th, 2014, a lovely getaway inn by the vineyards of Niagara-on-the-lake, Sabria and Karim freely shared the fruits of their labor of love in an intimate setting surrounded by their closest friends and family. Feel free to view the highlight reel below for a taste of what Sabria and Karim’s special day had to offer.

Niagara-on-the-lake is a stone’s throw in Lake Ontario away from our location here in Toronto, though nonetheless our videographers were equipped and ready to film come noon-time as Sabria and Karim prepared to look their very best for the evening to come. Sabria chose a slim white organza wedding dress, while Karim preferred a sharp suit to match his bride. The couple exchanged gifts and letters while getting prepared. Sabria and Karim, both barely able to keep a calm composure, tread through their beloveds’ words as each syllable reverberated deeply held feelings which found chance to be verbalized only now, in the most perfect of times. Once prepared, the couple chose to eschew a formal ceremony for a more personal gathering in and around the countryside scenery of Niagara-on-the-lake during the spring season, a perfect setting for our videographers and cinematographers to perform their magic. As the sun set, the newlyweds took the liberty to get as many perfect pictures and video shots as they could. Ironically, the couple had earlier worried that the weather would play afoul on their wedding day, only for them to be greeted luckily with a gorgeous bright blue sky. Thank the heavens, literally!

The newlyweds Sabria and Karim then chose to wind down their evening in the cozy Stone Mill inn resort. The nights’ celebration was spun alight from an eclectic variety of sounds, with a DJ spinning the digital hot wax till well into the late hours. Midway through, Sabria and Karim’s closest loved ones took the stage to give their approbations and salutations to the newly made husband and wife. From a lovingly performed cake-cutting, to a sultry garter toss, to the ever romantic first dance, Sabria and Karim’s smiles throughout the day wouldn’t falter once, and the way their eyes stood fixated to the other was admittedly the most endearing part of the experience for our videographers and cinematographers. Come midnight, the late night buffet was opened and the wedding celebration continued to the early hours of the morning. Every moment we spent with Sabria and Karim during the day, however, served to affirm to us the couples’ love for each other, reminding our videographers the ultimate reason which brings us to our work, and the passion behind our craft. All in all, we at SDE Weddings; Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography company, wish Sabria and Karim a wonderful life and future together, and hope that just like a fine wine, their love for each other grows ever more richer and deeper by the day.
