The glistening frostings of freshly melted snow, an atmosphere of serenity and a moment of seclusion wrapped within an opportune time, on a magical day in the midst of Canada’s famously frigid winter season. Such is how we felt here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photo-booth group, when we worked on Lorrene & Darvy’s beautiful winter season wedding just this past December 29th, 2016 – only a few days shy of Christmas, during the serendipitous period between the Christmas season and New Year’s Eve. And for Lorrene & Darvy, their wedding day would be a truly magical memory in and of itself; with preparations and early celebrations taking place at the Delta Hotels in Scarborough, a very personal wedding ceremony at Scarborough’s St. Maria Goretti Parish, and finishing off fantastically in Toronto’s Fantasy Farm, a beautiful getaway location deep in the heartlands of Toronto’s famous Don Valley, and a perfect locale for some excellent scenes for our videographers and cinematographers to work with. We also had the opportunity to bring our photo booth to the reception to entertain Lorrene & Darvy’s guest.
It was “once upon a time,” or rather just earlier this year, when our best and brightest here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photo-booth group, took part in an unforgettable and truly unique photo-shoot event. Creating a special little style-piece for the esteemed online wedding magazine WedLuxe, our most talented videographers were overjoyed to work alongside wedding photographer Samantha Ong to bring together a fairytale-themed style shoot titled “Once upon a time.” As tales as old as time, and songs as old as rhyme would have you know, fairytales fondly found from our childhood have left an unbreakable and unshakeable impression on our collective mind. That’s why it was an absolute ‘fairytale’ in itself for our videographers to play a part in the production of such a fantastical and magical piece of art, an homage to the many brilliant works of fiction which made our childhoods all the more brighter.
One of the most wonderful and magical things about life is that it’s always full of surprises. The twists and turns that we take through our everyday journeys lead us to evermore surprising ends, to places we’ve never imagined we’d find ourselves – something our videographers and cinematographers know all too well. So too is the path to finding true love, traced out through our lifetimes; narrow and winding, and always different for each and every person. That’s why we here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, were elated to play a pivotal part in providing our services to Laura & Alex, a couple whose lives were inextricably drawn to one another, and whose love has grown through time and culminated in an unforgettable wedding day, which took place this past February 21st, 2015 at Vaughan’s beautiful Hazelton Manor and Toronto’s historic Black Creek Pioneer Village. Laura, once a single mother to a lovely young daughter, had met Alex, a police officer, through a serendipitous encounter online. Little did they know that Alex would be the missing piece which would complete Laura’s family of two, and that Laura & Alex would indeed complete one another through life and love. And to truly suit a very special family, the wedding day proved to be very special for our videographers and cinematographers to say the least. Our very first filming experience in a bona-fide snow-day! Coupled with our cameras rolling throughout, and our namesake Same-Day-Edit service to sum up the wedding day’s preparation and ceremony, our videographers and cinematographers were quite ‘snowed in’ with plenty of work! As many of us know all too well, the greatest gift one can give to others is our love and devotion. And in the spirit of giving, we here at SDE Weddings; Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, reminisce about one such couple whose gifts for one another was each other’s hands in a holy union during the holiest of seasons. Just this past December 20th, 2014, our videographers and cinematographers here at SDE Weddings were proud to play a part in a Christmas scene which truly exemplified the real reason for the season. Indeed, a very special winter wedding for Anne & Andrew, who held their solemn vows at Thornhill’s St. Paschal Baylon Church, with an unforgettable winter wedding celebration afterwards at one of our videographers’ and cinematographers’ favorites: Vaughan’s very own Paradise Banquet Hall. A story of a couple of high-school sweethearts who’ve been together for well over a decade, Anne & Andrew’s love for each other truly reflects what we here at SDE Weddings value most in what we do: devotion, faithfulness and a passion which grows ever continuously. And being true to the season of giving, we too wished to give Anne & Andrew the very best of our videography and cinematography skills for their most special of days Scroll further to learn more about Anne & Andrew’s very ‘merry’ matrimony and a sample highlight reel of among the best wedding moments captured by our videographers and cinematographers throughout the day.
A serendipitous meeting, a life guided by destiny, and a love strengthened by faith. Recanting the multitude of memories we here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, might have on the many weddings we’ve filmed, we can always guarantee that our hearts and minds would gravitate to these fundamental themes. That’s why for us, the story of Richard & Maria, a Hamilton wedding that we filmed, is all too touching. Working with the young couple from Brampton for their wedding day videography and cinematography this previous December 6th, 2014; with ceremonies held at Brampton’s St. John Fisher Church and a beautiful reception to close the evening at Carmen’s Banquet Hall in Stony Creek, has done naught but affirm our beliefs in life and love and just how powerful ‘true love’ truly is. Just as fate would have it, Richard had been a marketing manager that dealt – surprise, surprise – in weddings and wedding-planning, employing his acumen in the the modern climate of social-networks. Little did he know that his very own wedding would come about through this very same medium, in a simple exchange of words via Facebook chat with the woman who would become his bride-to-be: Maria, an aficionado of all things fitness and dance. Striking things off through cyberspace, Maria & Richard would soon find themselves going through life’s motions; thick or thin, sink or swim, till fate would have them under the altar on an unforgettable December day. One that our videographers and cinematographers here at SDE Weddings had the utmost pleasure in documenting, from start to finish. Join us in recalling Maria & Richard’s beautiful December wedding, musing on the love that brought them together, and a look at how our videographers and cinematographers captured every sentimental scene of such a truly special day.
Ah, Valentine’s day. What more can be said about this quintessential day of romance and love that hasn’t been etched onto millions of Hallmark love letters and ubiquitous boxed chocolates? Well, one thing however – and that’s our very first Valentine’s Day wedding! A truly humbling experience for us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group. The daringly amorous couple who chose the day devoted to all things to do with love and romance for their wedding was Rob & Holly, an Italian couple of six-years from Hamilton who held this feast of St. Valentines appropriately enough at Christ’s Church Cathedral, with a resplendent reception at the lovely Sheraton Hamilton Hotel. Suffice to say, with a wedding film, our namesake same-day-edit highlight reel made for their reception, and our renowned photobooth service being a guaranteed hit with the guests, our wedding videographers and cinematographers had more than a handful for themselves this Valentine’s Day in working with Rob & Holly. The proverbial ‘winter glow’ during the twilight hours of a cold day is one of the more beautiful sights seen throughout this time of year. And with our work for Gianne & Anton during their winter wedding, we here at SDE Weddings were elated with the ‘glowing’ reviews we received from the couple & their guests. Being Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth company, our work with Gianne & Anton spanned each and every one of these facets of our expertise, and made for an unforgettable experience for our videographers and cinematographers. A young and energetic Filipino couple hailing from Mississauga, Gianne & Anton held their wedding earlier this month on February 6th, 2015, on a frigidly cold but nonetheless bright and beautiful winter day. The beloved bride & groom held their ceremonies at Mississauga’s Cristo Rei Parish, and ended the evening with a grand reception at the Harbour Banquet & Conference Centre in Oakville. Gianne & Anton came to us for the full ensemble of an entire day of coverage, our namesake same-day-edit service and an always-fun photobooth to compliment an evening of liveliness and fun. Staying true to a theme, Gianne & Anton’s wedding day, from the early morning’s moments, to the late evening’s eventual end, were filled with a gorgeously glowing ‘winter’ aura. Though a bit fanciful in description, simply scroll further to watch our featured highlight reel to see and learn more about Gianne & Anton’s wonderful winter wedding.
