More seldom than not do we encounter a couple whose energy and liveliness complement each other perfectly. A relationship built on a foundation both of love of life and of one another. Such was our exact impression here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, when working with Stephanie & Scott for their unforgettable wedding day ceremony and celebration. The fateful day for the perfect pair took place on August 30th, 2014, in a humble private ceremony at Stephanie’s home in Burlington and an all-out extravagant reception at Mississauga’s historic Glenerin Inn. Stephanie, herself a photographer, exuded a picture-perfect radiance of positivity throughout the day, of whose vivacity could only be matched by her beloved husband, Scott, whose fiery wit had kept many of their guests – and our videographers and cinematographers – entertained all evening. Clearly a couple who value the brighter side of life, Stephanie & Scott hardly hesitated to capitalize on having our very own photobooth setup ready and set for their evening’s celebration. We here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography, and photobooth company believe in the idea of “made for each other”, especially after seeing how perfect Giancarlo & Joan were together on this beautiful fall day on September 13, 2014. The couple chose to have their wedding ceremony and reception at the famed Bayview Golf and Country Club, known for its beauty and seclusion overlooking the prestigious golf course and peaceful backdrop of gardens and nature trails. It was the perfect location for the perfect couple and we were pleased to have had the opportunity to share in their joy on this wonderful day.
Both the videographer and cinematographer at SDE Weddings got right to work in the early hours of the morning capturing Joan on camera as she got her hair and makeup done at the Bayview Golf and Country Club. Meanwhile, Giancarlo spent his morning getting groomed and dressed to perfection with his entourage of groomsmen assisting him at every turn at the Hilton Toronto Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa, before they made their way over to the country club in the afternoon to be reunited with their other half.
One of the most energetic, upbeat, and to put it simply, “happiest” weddings we’ve filmed happened just this last summer for us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group. Oluwadara & Adeniyi (Dara & Ade, for short), a young Nigerian-Canadian couple, held their wondrous wedding ceremony and celebration in an unforgettable two-day event on June 12th and June 14th. The first day of filming for our videographers and cinematographers was a traditional Nigerian wedding held in complete cultural-flair at Toronto’s Jamaican-Canadian-Association’s Community Centre, while the second day was a wonderful and beautifully-arranged Christian wedding which took place at Toronto’s Revivaltime Tabernacle, with an evening’s reception held at Woodbridge’s Madison Event Centre, just north-west of Toronto. Not at all new to multiple-day wedding ceremonies and celebrations, our videographers and cinematographers had an excellent time filming many memorable moments throughout the two days of working with Dara & Ade and their family and friends. Laughter and joy, song and dance, and every emotion and experience in between were neatly wrapped and beautifully presented throughout the Dara & Ade’s two-day wedding, and keeping true to our name, our videographers and cinematographers had provided a specially crafted ‘Same-Day-Edit’ highlight video which was showcased during the newlywed couples’ premier reception hours, a true honour for us indeed. Scroll further to learn more about our videographers’ and cinematographers’ favourite shots throughout and a sample of our work in a featured highlight reel of Dara & Ade’s unforgettable wedding experience.
It truly was a ‘dream come true’ for Dara & Ade, whose traditional Nigerian wedding ceremony took place last summer on June 12h, 2014, and a truly remarkable experience for our videographers and cinematographers in immersing ourselves in Nigerian culture through the most sacred of life’s events in a wedding. The first sight that stands out was the many varied and colourful wardrobes and garbs worn by the celebrants, bridesmaids and groomsmen and indeed the couple themselves. In Nigerian culture, the large and extravagant headwear worn by the women is called a “gele” while the men’s hat is a “fila”. The equally colourful robes are called a ‘sokoto’ for the men, and an ‘iro’ for the women. In the highlight reel featured, you can see that Dara & Ade’s bridesmaids chose a matching orange to complement an overall orange theme of the traditional wedding, while many of the celebrants, Dara & Ade especially, wore their wedding dresses in shimmering gold. Plenty of wonderful scenes were captured by our videographers and cinematographers for the first day of filming. Among our favorites was the penultimate scene of Ade knelt down to place the ring onto Dara’s finger, a beautiful once-in-a-lifetime moment which was met with jubilant celebration from the crowd, and featured in the highlight reel. A true tear-jerker, you can’t help but feel happy for the two.
A small town that packed a big punch wasn’t exactly what we were expecting when we made the full two and a half hour trek from our comfortable Toronto home to the humble hamlet of Delhi, Ontario, just west of Hamilton just last Friday July 25th, 2014. Though for us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth service, going above and beyond the call of photobooth duty is hardly unfamiliar to say the least. In this instance, we had been summoned by Kim and Brandon to provide our sought-after photobooth expertise for their wedding day celebration at the aptly named Delhi District German Home, a historic venue and lounge fashioned in the style of German architecture; a bonafide hotspot of German culture in Ontario. A special point to note is the printout style for the photos, which were designed to resemble strips of film. Not exactly the first time we’ve brought it out, though nonetheless perfect for the picturesque setting of Kim and Brandon’s wedding reception. Suffice to say, with a crowd of well over three hundred in attendance and a whole night of music and liveliness accompanying the small town atmosphere, that all the fun of Kim and Brandon’s wedding festivities are well reflected in the smiles of everyone’s faces, young and old, in the preview pictures below. Our only regret was, of course, forgetting to bring our own pairs of Lederhosen.

Contrary to the line from the classic Alanis Morisette song “Ironic”, rain on your wedding day isn’t the end of the world; especially not if you’ve got a few crafty screws in your noggin. For us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth service, a little precipitation won’t be enough to spoil our fun. A sentiment shared rightfully-so by Kelly and Evan, whose wedding celebration on July 19th, 2014 we provided our photobooth service and expertise for. The event, set under a giant open-sided gazebo at Toronto’s historically famous Black Creek Pioneer Village, surprisingly suffered hardly any hiccups despite the foreboded forecasts and an overture overcast over our heads. Evan, a science teacher by profession, decided on an interesting scheme for his wedding day decorations; an Erlenmeyer laboratory flask for the vase of flowers as the literal centrepiece of the venue, which, if you pardon the pun, got quite the ‘reaction’ from the crowd. While photobooth services were handled by us at SDE Weddings, one of our close associates, Toronto-based photographer Jason Shum provided expert photography for Kelly and Evan’s special day. As you can see from the photobooth previews below, the rain did little if anything to dampen the mood of Kelly and Evan’s wedding guests, who’s eyes were hooked on the camera till well into the night. In the end, the real ‘irony’ is making the best of what nature gives you, regardless of what comes your way.

It was only this past weekend that a match made in heaven came true, and no, we’re not talking about the World Cup grand finals. Angela and Fontaine, a young couple from Toronto, finally made the first step towards their goals, and sealed their futures in a wedding fit for the ages. To celebrate, what better way to kick it off than a plentifully fun photobooth care of us here at SDE Weddings! Our photobooth experts, apart from their work in videography and cinematography, were ecstatic to lend a hand to Angela and Fontaine during their wedding day reception services this past Sunday, July 13, 2014. With a familiar setting for us at Toronto’s Fantasy Farm banquet hall, our work was made even more fun with the newlywed couple craftily contributing their own custom props and board for their specially made photobooth design. In addition, Angela and Fontaine advertised far and wide to their guests about their custom photobooth once prepared, and made sure that all their wedding day well-wishers left their own little messages for the couple in a guestbook after each set of photos. A brilliant idea to engage the wedding day crowd! As you can see in the following preview pictures, there were more than plenty guffaws and grimaces to be had than you’ll see after a winning goal with Angela and Fontaine’s guests. Feel free to peruse some of the more outlandish and outrageous of our shots below.

Family, tradition, faith and love were the centrepiece themes for the wedding of Katarina and Dan, a couple whose unequivocal devotion to these principles sets them apart for us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography company. A Ukrainian twosome whose first moments together was through Katarina’s christening over twenty five years ago, as young ones taken into the fold of their parents’ friendship. Little did they know back then that these two families would eventually become one, brought together by an unyielding bond that knows not of either distance or time. As Dan’s family settled in Melbourne, Katarina’s would do so in Canada, an entire hemisphere and ocean away, and on entirely separate landmasses from their home nation of the Ukraine. The two grew up apart, yet found themselves drawn back together through the intricate acts of fate, and a shared culture that transcends mere boundaries. For us, Katarina and Dan’s union exemplifies the finer and deeper points of what draws us to marriage; a communal society, a dedication to both faith and family, and a deep reverence for one’s cultural heritage. Keep your cursors scrolled to read more about Katarina and Dan’s fated and faithful wedding day.
