“Let’s get to the church, would ya?” – a bit blunt, a bit informal, but every bit beautiful. A contrast which is ever inspiring for us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group. A subtle take-away message from our work with Kimberly & Paul, an entrepreneurial couple from Mississauga at the prime of their lives, whose wedding our videographers and cinematographers took part in just this previous October 4th, 2014 at a wedding ceremony held at Toronto’s historical St. Paul’s Basilica, hand-in-hand with an unforgettable reception and celebration at one of our videographers’ and cinematographers’ favoured scenic getaways, Toronto’s very own St. Lawrence Hall. Indeed, Kimberly & Paul’s wedding – and their lives together – emboldens a beautiful contrast: Paul, a manager at Deloitte, and Kim, a specialist in HR, though fastidious and formal in their work, exude a joyful playfulness between them that’s enough to make any hopeless romantic’s heart melt twice-over. So it was up to our videographers and cinematographers to catch, capture and convey this charming quality between the pair, and suffice to say, Kimberly & Paul – through their heartfelt emotions and efervescent character, made it far too easy a task. And in keeping true to the theme of playfulness, Kimberly & Paul had also arranged for our very own photobooth service for their after-ceremony celebration shenanigans. Scroll further to learn more about Kimberly & Paul’s most special of days, a preview of the wedding day’s events in our highlight reel, and more from our videographers and cinematographers on their favorite scenes and what the experience was like to work with such a lively and charmistatic couple on such a hallmark event in their lives.
Youth, spirit, motivation, love and passion. Such were the perfect words to describe the bond between Zarah & Matthew, a pair of young professionals whose unforgettable wedding memories we here at SDE Weddings; Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, had helped to capture. On a beautiful early Autumn day just this past September 19, 2014, Zarah, a schoolteacher with the Toronto Catholic District Schoolboard, and Matthew, a software engineer, had embarked on a journey of a lifetime. The single first step which began this journey took place at Toronto’s ‘Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church’, on Zarah & Matthew’s fateful wedding day. And topping off the evening, a commemoration celebration at the ‘St. Lawrence Hall’ in Toronto’s ever-famous St. Lawrence Market and Distillery District. Truly, a very ‘downtown Toronto’ wedding experience. Armed with our wits and cameras, and alongside a familiar colleague, Jason Shum of littlefreelenser photography, our videographers and cinematographers here at SDE Weddings had sealed the deal on plenty of perfect shots all throughout, and transformed Zarah & Matthew’s many matrimonial moments into a full-feature film, encapsulating the entirety of one of their life’s most memorable of days. Scroll further to learn more about Zarah & Matthew, their unforgettable wedding video, and a look through the lenses of our videographers and cinematographers alongside many of their favourite shots from the day.
They say true love is enough to stand the test of time, and for Grace and Christian, there is no truer a sign of love than a reaffirmation of wedding vows. The couple, who’ve been happily married ten years, chose to renew their promises to each other in a much more vibrant and celebrated light, as their primary wedding promises were met under less than glamorous means. Now that they’ve threaded the path of life together and have built a bit of financial prosperity for themselves, Grace and Christian saw it fit to finally have the fancy wedding ceremony that they’ve always wanted. We at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography & cinematography group, found the whole sentiment of renewed vows rather charming, and were very much pleased to put forth our efforts in reflecting the ideal wedding experience that Grace and Christian envisioned for themselves in full media form. The ceremony and reception took place in St. Lawrence Hall, about Toronto’s famous St. Lawrence Market, on November 23, 2013, in an inspiring “re-nuptial” wedding service surrounded by the couples’ closest loved ones to commemorate a decade’s milestone of a marriage.
The cold autumn day of filming for our videographers began with a solemn reading of short notes between Grace and Christian as they busily prepared for their decade’s wedding anniversary. Grace and Christian, a Filipino couple from Toronto, already knew ten years ago that they were ready to grow old together, and indeed, with the couples’ young son helping his big dad into his anniversary attire; we couldn’t help but feel that their wishes for a prosperous married life were verily granted. Grace, elegantly dressed in a thick silken beige coat to match her wedding gown, met with Christian, in full formal suit with a vintage trilby hat and black bow-tie, at the bride’s family home, and the two hurriedly made their way to the the stone arches of Guildwood Inn Park on the shores of Lake Ontario for afternoon wedding shots and video-taking by our crew. Afterwards, the beloved couple and their entourage arrived at St. Lawrence Hall to attend to greeting guests and making last-minute provisions for their once-fabled gala anniversary reception.
