Toronto George Brown 2015 Photobooth Pictures

Hard work and dedication definitely pays ‘in dividends’ over the years, as they say. That’s why we here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, were more than glad to be a part of our second annual George Brown College Scholarship Ceremony for this 2015, held at Toronto’s Sheraton Hotel. As we wrote in our previous year’s blog post, our photobooth aficionados had a tremendously fun time in supplying George Brown’s finest scholastic achievers with a unique experience to commemorate their awards, our acclaimed photobooth which was a smashing hit throughout the evening. This year, of course, was no exception. George Brown’s finest minds weren’t the only ones who’ve learned a thing or two however, as a year’s time is plenty for an upgrade in our own photobooth’s quality. As an added bonus to their event, George Brown had the Argo’s coach and famous Toronto football figure Pinball Clemons in attendance, which you can spot in one of the preview pictures below! Altogether, our second year’s work for George Brown was an utmost pleasure for us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group. All we can say is, see you again next year!

Hamilton Wedding Video and Photobooth at Sheraton Hotel

Ah, Valentine’s day. What more can be said about this quintessential day of romance and love that hasn’t been etched onto millions of Hallmark love letters and ubiquitous boxed chocolates? Well, one thing however – and that’s our very first Valentine’s Day wedding! A truly humbling experience for us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group. The daringly amorous couple who chose the day devoted to all things to do with love and romance for their wedding was Rob & Holly, an Italian couple of six-years from Hamilton who held this feast of St. Valentines appropriately enough at Christ’s Church Cathedral, with a resplendent reception at the lovely Sheraton Hamilton Hotel. Suffice to say, with a wedding film, our namesake same-day-edit highlight reel made for their reception, and our renowned photobooth service being a guaranteed hit with the guests, our wedding videographers and cinematographers had more than a handful for themselves this Valentine’s Day in working with Rob & Holly. George Brown College 2014 Scholarship Ceremony

SDE Weddings’s premium photobooth services were certainly not in short supply of scholastic superlatives earlier this month on April 2nd when were were chosen by Toronto’s George Brown College to do photobooth work for their 2014 scholarship ceremonies. With over a hundred esteemed student recipients in total, these fine young professionals were more than honored to receive accolades for their book-busting brains and test-taking tenacity. SDE Weddings‘s Toronto photobooth rental crew, consisting of SDE Wedding’s premier videographers and video cinematographers, were not ones to be upstaged in their penchant for work and dedication, however, and were available on-site throughout the event for on-the-spot printing and processing of all the memorable photos of innumerable overjoyed undergrads and education professionals alike. You can see a sample of all the academic approbations with a few choice snapshots below.

DECA Ontario 2014 Provincial Conference Photobooth

DECA Ontario’s 2014 conference was an unprecedented gathering of some of Canada’s youngest entrepreneurs and business professionals, and with an attendance of over five thousand of Canada’s youngest and brightest business minds in among Ontario’s largest student society congregations, setting up a photobooth to meet such a high volume of demand is not quite a simple logistical task. That’s why SDE’s Toronto photobooth crew were a perfect fit for the job, with some of our most dedicated wedding videographers and video cinematographers manning the booth throughout the event from start to finish. The DECA Ontario conference and competition took place on February 10th, only about a month after we completed DECA U’s 2014 regional conference photobooth, and with how much fun the students have every time, it’s no surprise that we’re always called back for more of our work. DECA U 2014 | Toronto Photobooth Rental Photos

DECA, the largest international association for business, marketing and management students, was among our most frequent clients over the years, and when they requested our help for setting up a recreational photobooth for the DECA U 2014 provincial conferences on January 17th, SDE Weddings’s Toronto photobooth staff were quick to the draw in delivering premiere rental photobooth service for the enjoyment of the many DECA U students in attendance, nearly over twelve hundred in all! This particular conference was a special one for DECA, as it was also their 10th year anniversary, and what better a way to remember such a momentous occasion than with a few quick photos with your schoolmate friends, embarrassing poses optional. SDE Weddings usually has one or two videographers and video cinematographers to handle a photobooth job, and with over a thousand students in attendance, the work our crew had on hand was not a simple point-and-click job to say the least. As expected however, our photobooth service was an instant success with the students, giving them a moment to breathe, and even laugh, outside the ultra-competitive atmosphere of training for their futures in the business world. Gita + Edward | Toronto Wedding Phototobooth Rental | Panorama Lounge

On November 23rd, 2013, we had the distinct pleasure of filming Gita & Edward’s wedding in Toronto and providing them with our photo booth service for their wedding reception at the Panorama Lounge (55 Bloor St W, Toronto). On the wedding day, we experienced a heavy snowstorm in the morning but the weather cleared up as the day progressed. Both Gita & Edward slept overnight at the Sheraton Hotel (123 Queen St W, Toronto) in downtown Toronto.

During the morning preparation, Gita had hired Shirley Wu from Beauty Concept by Shirley Wu for her bridal makeup. After everyone was ready, we went to the 2nd floor of the Sheraton Hotel for the Hindu wedding ceremony. The Hindu ceremony last for over 2 hours and then we immediately started the Korean Pyebaek ceremony. It was a very eventful wedding as Gita had a Hindu background and Edward’s background was Korean, so it was necessary to schedule two different wedding ceremonies on the same day.

Once the ceremonies were done at around 7PM in the evening, we traveled to Panorama Lounge to setup the photobooth for the wedding reception party. With over 150 guests, everyone had a turn to take photos at our open concept photobooth. Throughout the evening, there was a lot of dancing, drinking, mingling, and Edward even performed a rap song for Gita.

We also ran into our friend Kevin Lam from Kevin Lam Photography who was just a guests at the wedding.

Korean + Indian Wedding | Gita + Edward | Panorama Lounge

Time for a lovely historical tale. During ancient times, the Korean peninsula and the Korean people had been split into several kingdoms after many generations since being formed, as many ancient people were, through a legendary lineage lost in antiquity. One of the smaller kingdoms, called “Gaya” situated in modern-day South Korea, finds its creation through a very curious tale of a visitor from far-off lands descending onto the land of the morning calm. Legend has it that a young maiden princess from the distant country of “Ayuta” arrived in what would become the “Gaya confederacy” and married a fabled king named “Suro” who would soon ascend in rank to be the first king of the land of Gaya, one of the ancient founding kingdoms of Korea. The young princess became historically known as Heo Hwang-ok, and her home country of “Ayuta” is traceable to the ancient Indian kingdom of Ayodhya, which still exists in India as a Hindu holy city near the Nepalese border.
