Fate has conspired once again. For those out there that are avid readers of our blog, you might remember a lovely couple by the names of Dianne & Anthony, who came to us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, for filming of both an engagement highlight film and for their full-fledged wedding. That was quite a few months ago in October. Well, ever anxious as we are here, we finally caught up with Dianne & Anthony again on the day which culminated their journey together thus far, the monumental wedding day, taking place just this past January 10th, 2015. With a new year, a new start and a new life ahead of them, Dianne & Anthony were ever excited just as how our videographers and cinematographers met them at first; eager to pave new paths in their lives together. And we here at SDE Weddings were utmost proud in helping the all-too-spirited couple in capturing and commemorating such a momentous day in their lives. With a complete Catholic wedding ceremony at Mississauga’s Cristo Rei Parish, an evening to start a lifetime with at Mississauga’s Apollo Convention Centre, our videographers and cinematographers capturing every sentimental moment, and our namesake Same-Day-Edit played for them to close the night, Dianne & Anthony couldn’t ask for anything more perfect. Keep your cursors scrolled to learn more about Dianne & Anthony, their unforgettable wedding day, and how our videographers and cinematographers helped to make their matrimonial magic last a lifetime.
There is more to the metaphor of ‘love as an ember’, of a kindling fire that ignites the most ‘human’ of emotions in all of us, to experience the deepest of desires and most pertinent of passions. Such was what we here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography group, felt in full through our work with Shambavi & Ananthan in filming and documenting the couples’ most personal of memories during their wedding day. The couples’ consummate celebration took place just this past November 29th, 2014 in a traditional Hindu ceremony held at Toronto’s ‘The Warehouse’ wedding venue, with a gorgeous after-ceremony affair to close the evening right in the heart of downtown Toronto’s famous ‘Distillery District’ in an intimate reception care of the ‘Archeo Trattoria‘ restaurant. Shambavi & Ananthan held a very humble traditional Hindu wedding, a “Vivaah Sanskar”, in a ‘divine ceremony sanctified by fire’, and as you shall see below, our videographers and cinematographers couldn’t help but be captivated in capturing the menagerie of lights and colours, sights and sounds that constituted the vibrant atmosphere of the couples’ wedding day. Scroll further to learn more about our wonderful time working with Shambavi & Ananthan, and to view a very special ‘Same-Day-Edit‘ our videographers and cinematographers had crafted for the couple as a special gift for their wedding day’s reception.
“Will you marry me?”, four simple words are enough to define an entire lifetime between two souls. That a single sentence would be enough to change a life, to shape a future, and to build something beautiful is one of the cornerstones of what drives us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography company, to consistently create, capture and convey these profound and life-changing memories. Such was how we felt during our work with Brigitte & Randall, a lovely couple from Toronto who held their wedding ceremony and celebration just last month on November 1st, 2014 in a delicate and plainly stated nuptial gathering at the gorgeous downtown venue of ‘2nd Floor Events’ on King Street W. Brigitte & Randall have an interesting story to tell when it comes to these ‘four simple words’, a tale which finds its setting half-a-world away. During a springtime cruise vacation to the Hawaiian islands, Randall had taken Brigitte up to the highest deck on a clear and cloudless night underneath the twilight of stars and popped the question out of the blue, to which Brigitte responded in the affirmative, and sealed the deal as they overlooked the beautiful island of Maui. Such a romantic recanting is what makes our videographers’ and cinematographers’ work here at SDE Weddings all the more worth every moment. And for our namesake ‘Same-Day-Edit‘ service to complement Brigitte & Randall’s reception was truly an honour for us. The feeling of being “on top of the world” is one of the things in life worth treasuring. It comes then as no surprise for us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography company, to witness Monica & George reach one of life’s proverbial pinnacles, that of their long-awaited Egyptian wedding ceremony. Indeed, the incommensurable feeling of elation and celebration familiar with many of life’s turning points is undoubtedly a lifetime’s treasure unto itself. So for our videographers and cinematographers, it was a feeling beyond simple satisfaction when taking part in the capturing and documenting the many memorable moments of Monica & George’s extraordinary day, which took place just this past October 5th, 2014 at Mississauga’s ‘Church of the Virgin Mary and St. Athanasius’, a gorgeous cultural and religious centre for Canada’s Coptic Orthodox community. And to top everything off, a plethora of beautiful scenic sights at ‘The Riverwood Conservancy’ concluding thereafter with an unforgettable wedding reception and celebration set in the ever comfy and highly-regarded ‘Roma’s Hospitality Centre’, Mississauga. With so many stunning sceneries and settings, our videographers and cinematographers had plenty of matrimonial movie-making material to work with, particularly for the Same-Day-Edit our videographers had especially crafted for filming at the highlight of Monica & George’s evening festivities. Filming Monica & George’s wedding was also quite interesting videography-wise, as our videographers had ventured in trying out some new and creative ideas for their filming process, some parts of which you can preview in the Same Day Edit Video below. The art of the ‘same day edit’ has become a passion for our wedding videographers and cinematographers here at SDE Weddings; no doubt, just look at our namesake. That’s why we were more than delighted when working with Alla and Paul on their beloved wedding ceremony and celebration, in providing both videography for their event from start to finish, and in crafting a special ‘same day edit‘ highlight reel of their wedding’s most memorable moments. Alla and Paul, a young Toronto Jewish couple hailing from Thornhill, had finally found themselves the necessary ‘chutzpah’ to tie the proverbial knot just earlier this month on September 4th, 2014 at a joyful Jewish wedding celebration at the beautiful Hazelton Manor in Vaughan, just north-west of Toronto. With our headquarters quite literally all the way across town, we had to make our own small ‘schlep’ to the wedding day’s festivities, and from our past experience in capturing and covering Jewish weddings and ceremonies, it was very much well worth it. Have a read of the rest of our ‘spiel’ on Alla and Paul’s memorable matrimony below.
From the all the miniscule details in the décor, all of seventeen custom-made chandeliers resembling an homage to the Babylonian hanging gardens , and an entire team of thirty wedding décor specialists taking about twenty whole hours to set up, it’s no surprise that Michelle and Paul’s fantastically gallant wedding celebration was famously featured on Wedluxe, a high-end wedding planner’s magazine. For us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography group, stepping into Michelle and Paul’s wedding reception on October 5th, 2013 at the luxurious Deercreek Golf & Banquet in Ajax was enough to make us stand still in awe, and true to our name, fashion a same-day-edit for the couple from among the most beautiful wedding day shots we’ve ever taken. Nonetheless, behind the whole pageantry of it all was the unyielding motivation of the love of a couple who met as high-school crushes ten years ago, and whose time, hard work and dedication to each other brought them to such magnificent of heights.
A resounding cheer of ‘Mazel Tov!’ was heard from the crowd of congratulating onlookers as Alex, the groom, crushed a glass on his heel, a traditional Jewish wedding custom to close a wedding ceremony. Michelle and Alex, a young couple from Toronto, held their wedding day on October 13, 2013 in a specially reserved reception at Toronto’s famous Park Hyatt Hotel in the luxurious downtown district of Yorkville. We at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography group, were honored to be chosen by Michelle and Alex to handle all the media matters for their wedding day. In particular, a same-day edit played during the wedding reception to the applause of the crowd left us very pleased in helping to capture the joyful and festive atmosphere of the entire wedding day celebration.
Toronto is famous worldwide for its unique multicultural atmosphere. Often boasting its status as the most multicultural major city in the world, among other accolades as ranking among the highest in standards of living and a near-utopian culture of tolerance and acceptance of immigrant traditions that mold together into a cohesive social structure. Toronto is like a miniature UN, so to say. That’s why we were very pleased as Toronto’s premier wedding videography & cinematography company to film Sabrina and Ranvir’s wedding, a couple whose love transcends yet envelops culture and religion both. Sabrina, a christian of the Church of the Nazarene congregation, and Ranvir, an ardent Sikh belonging to the Gurdwara Sikh Sangat, are an extraordinary couple indeed, yet who met ironically in rather ordinary circumstances. The two were introduced during high school, and began dating soon after graduation. The classic story of teenage lovers, their bond soon grew as time went on, till both finally decided on a lifelong commitment to one another, going above and beyond cultural and religious barriers, as love often has the power to. The couple were married in a two day celebration on August 16th and 17th of 2013, in both Christian and Sikh wedding traditions, where which well over 400 guests were in attendance. A rather extravagant reception for an extraordinary duo to say the least.
Some would consider a longstanding friendship a requisite for successful married life, and for the case of Lester and Monica, a Filipino couple from Toronto, a friendship lasting ten years is well enough foundation to form a bedrock for two lives united in marriage. The two met in indeed less-amicable terms than now, as mere acquaintances in high school, yet ten years of what starts off as a simple amorphous figment of a friendship would nevertheless evolve through the currents of time to form what would become a shimmering stone in wedding-ring form. The day with which such a long friendship has built itself towards took place on October 12, 2013 in Mississauga’s St. Catherine of Siena Church, amidst the backdrop earth-toned autumn leaves, traditional Catholic regalia and a lively atmosphere that was enough to warm the many hearts despite the season. Much to our delight here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography group, the couple were overjoyed with our namesake service, the “same day edit”, which was played upon request during the evening’s festivities. Fun, friendship and fulfillment were the central themes of this wedding, and what began in the hearts of Lester and Monica ten years ago would indeed fulfill itself on such a day, and us at SDE Weddings were glad to take part in creating and capturing memories that would hence last ten-fold that time.
