For us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photo-booth rental group, it’s always a pleasure in sights and sounds to experience a South Asian Pakistani wedding. From the gorgeous array of colours, vibrant textures, playful patterns and palettes, to the intricate designs and eclectic ambiance all throughout many multiple-days of celebrations, South Asian weddings make up among our favorite all-time works. So it’s no surprise that our videographers and cinematographers absolutely loved working with a very special couple, Saad & Anum, for their three-day gala wedding celebration extravaganza just this past August 2015, on the 12th, 14th and 16th respectively. From a traditional Mehndi ceremony for the first day, the Shaadi (or South Asian wedding) with a solemn Nikah ritual on the second, to a complete banquet and celebration (or Walima) to complete the wedding package for the third and final day. Through it all, our videographers and cinematographers shared with Saad & Anum many beautiful moments all captured through our lenses and made permanent in film. A special feature we included for Saad & Anum was a live feed of their wedding for the second and third days, broadcasting through Wi-Fi a crisp and clear feed of our camera footage for the projector screens in the banquet hall. Scroll further and join us in reliving this wonderful wedding weekend, have a look at the highlight reel prepared by our videographers and cinematographers and learn more about the very special couple, Saad & Anum, on their truly special day.
The expression of an “old flame” to describe a love or friendship from long ago naturally draws parallel to a kindling fire that, as relationships sometimes do, eventually inflame quickly and burn out slowly. However, the truest test of a couple’s love for each other is finding and forging a way to rekindle that same burning passion, that once-in-a-lifetime initial spark, and forcefully resurfacing these same impassioned feelings out of each other like a phoenix born from the ashes. Thus formed the setting for the reunion of Fuhreen and Hassan two years ago, after what seemed like a lifetime of being apart. The couple, who were very close friends in high school, had amicably parted ways in pursuit of higher education. As time passed, Fuhreen had successfully become a doctor and Hassan an engineer. Now in their late twenties, with their years in education behind them and an entire life beyond the horizon, their reunion after many years meant a twist to these two threads torn apart by time. Two years later, these same threads of fate would become entangled in each others lives, brought further and further together, that they’d eventually find themselves in midst of their families and friends and tying the proverbial knot. We here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography group, find ourselves infatuated with stories like Fuhreen and Hassan’s, because they speak deeply to the nature of ‘love’, the grand motivator of what brings us all here, all together.
For many of us, a wedding is a time of joy and laughter, of smiles and happiness. In this sense, a wedding festival spanning three days is a perfect fit for all the precious moments and heartfelt memories of the bride and groom during the happiest times of their lives. Such was the wedding celebration of Danish and Kiran, a young Pakistani wedding couple whose lives together have only just begun, but who are so familiar together that you’d say they were a match made in heaven. Danish & Kiran picked us, SDE Weddings to film and videograph their weekend wedding that feast took place June 28 to 30, 2013 in Mississauga, at the Sahara banquet hall and Payal banquet hall. The spirited duo were so sure of their commitments to each other that they needed no rehearsals for the ceremonies, and thus the wedding proper felt akin to a surreal and organic experience, where emotions truly came from the heart, and made for many wonderful scenes for our Toronto wedding videographers & cinematographers capture on film.
Last Friday, August 30th, Mehwish & Fahad held their Pakistani wedding reception party at the Pearson Convention Centre in Brampton. With around 95 guests in attendance at the reception, it was a very lively evening filled with laughter & dancing. Adil, Mehwish’s brother, thought it would be a great idea to entertain the wedding guests with our open concept photo booth, so he hired us earlier in the week as a wedding gift for his little sister. Throughout the night, everyone enjoyed the celebration of Mehwish & Fahad’s marriage and took turns to get their picture taken at the photobooth.
Here are some of the photos taken from our photobooth during Mehwish & Fahad’s Pakistani wedding reception.
