The coming of the autumn season signals both the gradual end of the year and a premonition of new beginnings on the horizon. With changing leaves comes changing lives; and for us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photo-booth group, no change is more monumental than that of an ever-eager couple’s wedding day. So for Kimberly & Philip, a couple hailing from Scarborough, a choice of fall for their wedding day season would play perfectly to the tune of change, of “turning a new leaf” and the blossoming of something beautiful to come. Thus, on a beautiful autumn day on September 30th, 2016, our videographers and cinematographers joined Kimberly & Philip as they embarked on the first step of what is hopefully a long journey to come. In a beautiful ceremony held at St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church in Scarborough, a photo session at the ever-gorgeous Alexander Muir Memorial Gardens, and a night of celebration at Toronto’s Parkview Manor Banquet Hall. A vibrant pair, both hailing from Mediterranean roots; of Greece, Italy and Portugal, it’s no wonder that Kimberly & Philip’s wedding was as vibrant and lively as can be. And for our videographers and cinematographers, saving a piece of this vibrancy in film would become a truly unforgettable task; and made for truly unforgettable footage. So join us as we recall our wonderful time working with Kimberly & Philip, their gorgeous autumn wedding day, and a sneak-peek at several of our videographers’ and cinematographers’ favourite scenes from the day in the highlight reel below.
A bright and beautiful summer morning would begin a lovely day for us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier Greek wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth-rental group, when our best and brightest visual artists were on scene for Eva & Tommy’s wedding, which took place just last year on August 23rd, 2015 in a fantastical feature event with a solemn ceremony held at Toronto’s St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church, a playful post-ceremony photoshoot at Toronto’s Rosetta McClain Gardens and a wonderful evening to end a very special day – with a celebration to close the show, held at the superlatively stunning Mississauga Grand Banquet & Event Centre. Eva & Tommy, an energetic young couple of shared Greek heritage, held an absolutely unforgettable wedding, one that would put the aptly-named cult classic film “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” to shame! Indeed, with our videographers and cinematographers on hand throughout the day, Eva & Tommy’s star-struck romance, culminating in a gorgeous wedding ceremony and ending with an energetic celebration of two lives made complete, would play out on film as though life were imitating art itself, but let’s leave that to the highlight reel to convince you. So join us as we go through Eva & Tommy’s wonderful wedding day and detail many of our videographers’ and cinematographers’ favorite scenes.

Do you wanna build a snowman? It doesn’t have to be a snowman. It could be…a wedding! That’s right, we here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photo booth group, kept ourselves toasty this winter by filming a fantastically ‘frosty’ film for Voula & Jessie, a Greek couple who held their winter wedding just this past January 24th, 2015 at the St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church with an evening’s reception at among one of our favorite venues to work at, “The Manor” byPeterandPauls, offering plenty of beautiful winter-wedding shots on the massive frozen river facing their outdoor facilities. As expected, our videographers and cinematographers had a wonderful time working with the couple, and captured many magical moments from their day, making a matrimonial medley in a Same-Day-Edit featured at their evening’s reception. A chilly change of pace for our warm-blooded videographers and cinematographers, winter weddings are fairly rare for us to film. So it was a delight for us to have such a fun experience in filming for the beloved couple on a cozy January weekend. For Tanya and Nick, two best friends at the prime of their lives, the consummation and culmination of their years of friendship in a perfect wedding day was a journey far from simple status quo. Something we here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography company, can well enough relate to. Tanya, a spirited Portuguese brunette; and Nick, whose namesake is short form for the Greek ‘Nikolaos’ meaning ‘victory’ reflects his heritage succinctly, met just short of eight years ago as young university students at a pivotal crossroad in both their lives. The two served as a source of support for one another, through thick and thin, and would soon develop an insurmountable bond that stood steadily through many of life’s tests. Such a bond would endure another hurdle on May 24, 2014, in the form of their final moments as mere friends and their first as husband and wife. In a dual ceremony alternately held at St. John Bosco Church and All Saints Church celebrating both Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox religious tradition respectively, Tanya and Nick faithfully accepted each other’s call to be one another’s soul-mates and partners in the path of life. Tanya and Nick’s fateful first evening as newlyweds would finalize in an all-inclusive luxury reception at Bayview’s aptly named Grand Luxe Event Boutique, and all the many timeless memories of the evening were captured by our videography and cinematography crew in among the most elegant and simply stated weddings we’ve filmed thus far.
