From inter-faith to inter-cultural, life and love intertwined together has the power to transcend all barriers and boundaries. We here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photo booth group, know this message all too well. So in working with Kristin & Tommy in filming their wondrous wedding day set on the bright summer day of July 5th, 2014, we are reminded of love’s lasting power to unite people, and just how paramount our passions can be in bringing people together. In an inter-faith ceremony of both Buddhist and Christian tradition, Kristin & Tommy, a Filipino and Vietnamese couple, were wed in a sentimental setting between their most precious loved ones, and held a lovely gathering at Markham’s Casa Victoria restaurant to celebrate and enjoy one of the most beautiful moments of their lives. We were privileged to spend their wonderful wedding day with them, and more so honoured to provide the full footage of their unforgettable day. For the celebration of a wedding with your closest family and friends, the typically migraine-inducing hurdles of weekend flyovers and time-defying jetlag become merely a minor obstacle to the fabled goal found at the end of the wedding aisle. We at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, know a thing or two about jetlag, believe us. So we know that for Michael and Shaina, setting their ‘destination wedding’ here in Toronto just this past Friday, September 5th, 2014 at Toronto’s luxurious Liberty Grand was no simple feat as a couple whose home sweet home is half the country away in Vancouver. Still, we Torotonians are known for our warmth and unparalleled hospitality, and as Michael and Shaina summoned us for our permier photobooth service, we surely aimed to please as always for the couple from out-of-town. Lucky for them, this was our fourth event this year working at the Liberty Grand, and our third photobooth we’ve set up at this acclaimed Toronto wedding destination. Judging from a preview of the snapshots below, we can tell that Michael and Shaina, along with their loved ones and anyone else who flew in, felt right at home with our work. In the end, as Michael and Shaina reached their goals with their ‘destination’ wedding, we here at SDE Weddings made sure to go the extra mile to make their wedding day all the more memorable.
Summer, the perennial season of love and youthfulness, makes a strikingly perfect setting for a wonderful wedding celebration. Such were our sentiments here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, just this past July 26th, 2014 while filming for the long-awaited wedding day of Tina & David, a young couple from Brampton who held their menagerie of marital memories at the esteemed Riviera Parque Convention Centre in Vaughan. Tina & David’s story recanted through second-hand whispers shows a particularly saccharine tale; of school-girl crushes and classroom curiosity. Beginning in the packed lecture halls of Tina & David’s shared classes yet finding its fateful way to a tender scene in front of a full crowd of family and friends, and the professing of a shared love that’s brought the two together ever since. For our videographers and cinematographers, such a storybook tale fits together perfectly with the scenes we had captured during Tina & David’s wedding day. To top it all off, a specially-made photobooth care of yours truly was provided for the couple and their many varied guests, to, of course, predictably playful results. Scroll further to view our specially prepared highlight reel of the day’s events and to learn more about our videographers’ and cinematographers’ fantastic filming experience with Tina & David and their unforgettable wedding day.Read More
For the few of us who are lucky enough in life, “love at first sight” is something a bit more than just whimsical fantasy. We at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography company, through our work with many couples on their wedding day, believe however that fate and love are more intertwined than what it seems, and “love at first sight” is not that hard to believe. For Anna and Christian’s co-workers, the moment the two were introduced may have been another day going through the rounds in the infirmary, but for Anna and Christian both, it was a little more profound than that. The millisecond moments when their twin glances had crossed paths would seem like an immemorial portrait of time standing still, giving birth to a whole universe born out of nothingness. Things would soon swiftly spiral for the two, and the northern constellations would find themselves aligning favourably for Christian, when during an intimate Christmas evening under a shimmering tree, Christian finally proposed to Anna and the two would share a many-minute long interlude of a deluge of tears before Anna would finally speak her hearts’ true intentions, “I waited a really long time for you.”. The idea of a person’s premonitions about life and love coming to fruition is something truly wonderful, and one of the greatest motivators for our work.
Some couples prefer a more intimate of an atmosphere for their wedding celebration. For Neil and Chriselle, a young Filipino couple, an open photobooth available to their dozen handful of guests was a wise choice in strengthening even the tightest of bonds between their family and friends, of course, through goofy poses and silly hats. We at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth company, were glad that a wedding setting among familiar faces can still be made even more entertaining by the simple addition of a photoboot camera, a few props, and plenty of smiling faces. Neil and Chriselle’s exclusive wedding reception was held last month on May 17, 2014 at Toronto’s Markland Wood Golf Club, and if you don’t mind the pun, we feel that our wedding photobooth service fit the couple and their celebrants to a ‘tee’. Feel free to have a look at some of the more amusing of snapshots in the preview pictures below.
A girl’s ‘debut’ in Filipino culture is a coming-of-age celebration of a girl’s eighteenth birthday anniversary, not unlike many age-specific ceremonies found in many cultures all across the world. However, it is in Toronto where cultures collide that SDE Weddings’s Toronto photobooth rental services find itself in center stage with the task of helping commemorate such a monumental shift in someone’s young life. April, with a befitting namesake, hosted her debut earlier this month on April 5th at the Riveria Parque in Vaughan, just northwest of Toronto, and our services were summoned by April’s father to make her daughter’s special day all the more complete in fun and festivities. SDE Weddings‘ crew of specialized videographers and video cinematographers are undoubtedly multifaceted enough to handle the photobooth duties for a family event as significant as this. Find out just how much April’s debut was made more the merrier by our photo booth with a few of our favorite pics of the night.

They say true love is enough to stand the test of time, and for Grace and Christian, there is no truer a sign of love than a reaffirmation of wedding vows. The couple, who’ve been happily married ten years, chose to renew their promises to each other in a much more vibrant and celebrated light, as their primary wedding promises were met under less than glamorous means. Now that they’ve threaded the path of life together and have built a bit of financial prosperity for themselves, Grace and Christian saw it fit to finally have the fancy wedding ceremony that they’ve always wanted. We at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography & cinematography group, found the whole sentiment of renewed vows rather charming, and were very much pleased to put forth our efforts in reflecting the ideal wedding experience that Grace and Christian envisioned for themselves in full media form. The ceremony and reception took place in St. Lawrence Hall, about Toronto’s famous St. Lawrence Market, on November 23, 2013, in an inspiring “re-nuptial” wedding service surrounded by the couples’ closest loved ones to commemorate a decade’s milestone of a marriage.
The cold autumn day of filming for our videographers began with a solemn reading of short notes between Grace and Christian as they busily prepared for their decade’s wedding anniversary. Grace and Christian, a Filipino couple from Toronto, already knew ten years ago that they were ready to grow old together, and indeed, with the couples’ young son helping his big dad into his anniversary attire; we couldn’t help but feel that their wishes for a prosperous married life were verily granted. Grace, elegantly dressed in a thick silken beige coat to match her wedding gown, met with Christian, in full formal suit with a vintage trilby hat and black bow-tie, at the bride’s family home, and the two hurriedly made their way to the the stone arches of Guildwood Inn Park on the shores of Lake Ontario for afternoon wedding shots and video-taking by our crew. Afterwards, the beloved couple and their entourage arrived at St. Lawrence Hall to attend to greeting guests and making last-minute provisions for their once-fabled gala anniversary reception.
Some would consider a longstanding friendship a requisite for successful married life, and for the case of Lester and Monica, a Filipino couple from Toronto, a friendship lasting ten years is well enough foundation to form a bedrock for two lives united in marriage. The two met in indeed less-amicable terms than now, as mere acquaintances in high school, yet ten years of what starts off as a simple amorphous figment of a friendship would nevertheless evolve through the currents of time to form what would become a shimmering stone in wedding-ring form. The day with which such a long friendship has built itself towards took place on October 12, 2013 in Mississauga’s St. Catherine of Siena Church, amidst the backdrop earth-toned autumn leaves, traditional Catholic regalia and a lively atmosphere that was enough to warm the many hearts despite the season. Much to our delight here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography group, the couple were overjoyed with our namesake service, the “same day edit”, which was played upon request during the evening’s festivities. Fun, friendship and fulfillment were the central themes of this wedding, and what began in the hearts of Lester and Monica ten years ago would indeed fulfill itself on such a day, and us at SDE Weddings were glad to take part in creating and capturing memories that would hence last ten-fold that time.
On Saturday, September 22nd, 2013, we were hired to provide wedding videography and wedding photobooth services for Anne & Enrico’s wedding. We are still currently working on editing the wedding video from the wedding. In the mean time, here are some of the photos from our photobooth that were taken during the wedding reception at the Deer Creek Golf & Banquet Facility.
This was also the first time that we added a life size stand up board of Snooky, Obama and a bear to our photobooth props.
