The glistening frostings of freshly melted snow, an atmosphere of serenity and a moment of seclusion wrapped within an opportune time, on a magical day in the midst of Canada’s famously frigid winter season. Such is how we felt here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photo-booth group, when we worked on Lorrene & Darvy’s beautiful winter season wedding just this past December 29th, 2016 – only a few days shy of Christmas, during the serendipitous period between the Christmas season and New Year’s Eve. And for Lorrene & Darvy, their wedding day would be a truly magical memory in and of itself; with preparations and early celebrations taking place at the Delta Hotels in Scarborough, a very personal wedding ceremony at Scarborough’s St. Maria Goretti Parish, and finishing off fantastically in Toronto’s Fantasy Farm, a beautiful getaway location deep in the heartlands of Toronto’s famous Don Valley, and a perfect locale for some excellent scenes for our videographers and cinematographers to work with. We also had the opportunity to bring our photo booth to the reception to entertain Lorrene & Darvy’s guest.
A serendipitous meeting, a life guided by destiny, and a love strengthened by faith. Recanting the multitude of memories we here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, might have on the many weddings we’ve filmed, we can always guarantee that our hearts and minds would gravitate to these fundamental themes. That’s why for us, the story of Richard & Maria, a Hamilton wedding that we filmed, is all too touching. Working with the young couple from Brampton for their wedding day videography and cinematography this previous December 6th, 2014; with ceremonies held at Brampton’s St. John Fisher Church and a beautiful reception to close the evening at Carmen’s Banquet Hall in Stony Creek, has done naught but affirm our beliefs in life and love and just how powerful ‘true love’ truly is. Just as fate would have it, Richard had been a marketing manager that dealt – surprise, surprise – in weddings and wedding-planning, employing his acumen in the the modern climate of social-networks. Little did he know that his very own wedding would come about through this very same medium, in a simple exchange of words via Facebook chat with the woman who would become his bride-to-be: Maria, an aficionado of all things fitness and dance. Striking things off through cyberspace, Maria & Richard would soon find themselves going through life’s motions; thick or thin, sink or swim, till fate would have them under the altar on an unforgettable December day. One that our videographers and cinematographers here at SDE Weddings had the utmost pleasure in documenting, from start to finish. Join us in recalling Maria & Richard’s beautiful December wedding, musing on the love that brought them together, and a look at how our videographers and cinematographers captured every sentimental scene of such a truly special day.
More often than not, couples seem to always have a trouble picking the perfect date for their wedding day. For Lisa & Stan however, the perfect date to host their their wedding on just happened to be on a day that came once in a thousand years. Just this past December 13, 2014, on the serendipitously sequenced date of ’12-13-14′, we here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photo booth group, took part in Lisa & Stan’s ‘once in a millennia’ marriage celebration in providing our very own unique photo booth experience for the beloved celebrants and their guests. Lisa & Stan’s perfectly-timed festivities took place at the beautiful riverside venue of Cambridge Mill, in the heart of the humble city of Cambridge, Ontario; Quite a ways away from our familiar facilities here in Toronto. Nonetheless, with our photo booth opening shop from 5 in the evening till well into the morning hours of the following day, we felt more than welcome. Interestingly enough, Lisa & Stan’s first dance was actually a DDR dance-battle, for those of you who are familiar with the fast-footed sole-shuffling arcade game, so it might not be a surprise that the couple are used to the late-night arcade shenanigans (they have photo booths at arcades too, don’t they?). In any case, what with our custom-designed printouts, plentiful Christmas-themed props, and an overall positive party atmosphere, we here at SDE Weddings are not at all surprised that Lisa & Stan and their many guests couldn’t help but keep coming back. Feel free to browse a few of our favourite photo booth snapshots from Lisa & Stan’s wonderful wedding day celebration below.
The holiday season has fallen upon us once again. “The most wonderful time of the year”, for many, conjures up pleasant images of time with family and friends, gift-giving, holiday cheer and warming up with a nice cup of hot cocoa underneath a cozy comforter. And who else knows better about warming up to the cold Canadian winter than ‘Tim Hortons’? That’s why we here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, had an immaculate time spent providing our unique photobooth experience to the ‘Tim Hortons’ Lawson Holiday Party, which took place at Toronto’s trademark Rogers Centre just this past Sunday, December 7th, 2014, just in time to usher in the happiest of holiday seasons for the Lawson family & friends. The Lawsons are seasoned ‘Tim Hortons’ franchise owners based in Toronto that operate various branches across the city, and we were double-double delighted when they asked us to help them set up a photobooth to celebrate the season. Gristled ‘Grinches’, reindeer antlers and candy canes galore were only a few of the handful of holiday props and ornaments that we had specially provided for the guests. We also had a crafty custom made photobooth print layout that captured both the ‘Tim Hortons’ trademark colours and the festive feel of red-velvet gift wrap, to give the Lawsons and their guests a touch of Christmas magic to remember. Feel free to browse a few of our favourite festive snapshots in the gallery below.
SDE’s Photobooth was filled with festive cheer this Christmas season when WB. White Insurance’s Sarah Hamilton chose us to help capture their holiday memories with our photobooth service. All the ‘holly-jolly jubilations’ were set in Oshawa & District Shrine Club on Simcoe St. N. in Oshawa on the 20th of December 2013, only inches away from the day that falls once a year, but we at SDE are sure that with the smiles on everyone’s faces, that Christmas did indeed come early for everyone involved in photobooth pleasantries. You too can share in their memories with some of the shots shown below.

They say true love is enough to stand the test of time, and for Grace and Christian, there is no truer a sign of love than a reaffirmation of wedding vows. The couple, who’ve been happily married ten years, chose to renew their promises to each other in a much more vibrant and celebrated light, as their primary wedding promises were met under less than glamorous means. Now that they’ve threaded the path of life together and have built a bit of financial prosperity for themselves, Grace and Christian saw it fit to finally have the fancy wedding ceremony that they’ve always wanted. We at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography & cinematography group, found the whole sentiment of renewed vows rather charming, and were very much pleased to put forth our efforts in reflecting the ideal wedding experience that Grace and Christian envisioned for themselves in full media form. The ceremony and reception took place in St. Lawrence Hall, about Toronto’s famous St. Lawrence Market, on November 23, 2013, in an inspiring “re-nuptial” wedding service surrounded by the couples’ closest loved ones to commemorate a decade’s milestone of a marriage.
The cold autumn day of filming for our videographers began with a solemn reading of short notes between Grace and Christian as they busily prepared for their decade’s wedding anniversary. Grace and Christian, a Filipino couple from Toronto, already knew ten years ago that they were ready to grow old together, and indeed, with the couples’ young son helping his big dad into his anniversary attire; we couldn’t help but feel that their wishes for a prosperous married life were verily granted. Grace, elegantly dressed in a thick silken beige coat to match her wedding gown, met with Christian, in full formal suit with a vintage trilby hat and black bow-tie, at the bride’s family home, and the two hurriedly made their way to the the stone arches of Guildwood Inn Park on the shores of Lake Ontario for afternoon wedding shots and video-taking by our crew. Afterwards, the beloved couple and their entourage arrived at St. Lawrence Hall to attend to greeting guests and making last-minute provisions for their once-fabled gala anniversary reception.
