Hamilton Ancaster Mill Wedding Videographer
“Dreams do come true” is a sentiment that’s certainly shared by us here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photo booth group. And one particular story of a dream that’s sincerely made itself come to life is that of Katie & Mike, a wonderfully spirited couple who held their truly timeless wedding day just this past year on a bright late-summer day on August 21st, 2015 at a favorite venue of our videographers and cinematographers, Hamilton’s very own Ancaster Mill. With Katie a nurse and Mike a doctor, it’s no surprise that such a perfect pair would have an undoubtedly “healthy” relationship! No matter which way you’d slice it, Katie & Mike would seal-the-deal with an unmistakably magical wedding day that would leave anyone breathless. But don’t take our word for it, scroll further for a glimpse inside Katie & Mike’s wedding day through our specially crafted highlight reel, and learn more about the wonderful time our videographers and cinematographers had working with Katie & Mike on the first day of their future lives together.

Filming began for our videographers and cinematographers as they arrived to greet the ever beloved couple on their truly special day, early morning at the bridal suites of Hamilton’s own Homewood Suites Hotel. Greeted with a hectic morning atmosphere, our videographers and cinematographers couldn’t wait to capture all the magical memories of the day ahead. One beautiful scene in particular is one lovely shot chosen by our videographers and cinematographers of the bridesmaids fitting on the beloved bride Katie’s gorgeous diamond belt atop her silken one-piece wedding gown. Truly looking stunning on her wedding day, we transition from Katie’s morning preparations with a well-chosen fade into the man of the hour, Mike, putting on a finely tailored wedding waistcoat, and a candid moment caught on film of Mike looking out the window to a bright morning, and indeed, a truly bright future ahead for him and his beloved bride-to-be. Another wonderful morning shot from our videographers and cinematographers, captured for symbolism’s sake, is that of the wedding ring held in a cream-coloured box adorned with gold writing, of a familiar phrase that truly resonated for this day, that “dreams do come true”.

With Katie & Mike looking splendid, sharp and as ready as ever, the wedding day entourage alongside our videographers and cinematographers made their way to the the quiet forest just by the Ancaster Old Mill for the beloved bride and groom’s long-awaited first look. The chosen locale, a private forest with a featured waterfall, was one which Katie had pictured and indeed dreamed of for the first look with her soon-to-be-husband. Again, to reaffirm the old adage, “dreams do come true”. And what a truly serene and sublime moment the first look would be! Our videographers and cinematographers helped make such a memory eternal, with Katie & Mike sharing truly heartfelt smiles on an undeniably magical day for both of them.
Soon afterwards, Katie & Mike and co. settled themselves cozily to a familiar venue, Hamilton’s Ancaster Mill; a historic old mill comfortably nestled at the tail-end of a quiet cul-de-sac, outside the edges of Hamilton proper and a favorite for our videographers and cinematographers. A truly quaint and tranquil forest getaway and, quite serendipitously, the same serene spot where we had worked with Katie’s close friends, Natasha & Brad, for their wedding video just a year earlier. For our videographers and cinematographers, Katie & Mike’s ceremony made for many gorgeous shots. A solemn occasion on a beautiful late summer day. A pathway etched out of the grassy green forest’s floor, with a trail of cherry-blossom pink and lily white petals, ending underneath a gorgeous garden canopy. Of an altar specially crafted by nature for Katie & Mike to seal an eternal bond. And indeed, we were witness to such a monumentous event, a recital of vows and a marriage made complete; all featured in the specially made highlight reel included.
After several fun shots taken post-ceremony in and around the campus of Hamilton’s McMaster University, the newlyweds and their guests made their trail back to Ancaster Mill for a wonderful evening of celebration to commemorate the joyous occasion. Another favorite shot for our videographers and cinematographers was of Katie & Mike making their grand entrance into the event hall, greeted by a roaring crowd of the couples’ shared loved ones, friends and family alike. With that, Katie & Mike’s first dance, an impecable and majestic moment whose sentiment escapes mere words, all featured in our highlight for you to enjoy. Indeed, many clips of the speeches made by Katie & Mike’s closest friends and family during the reception were also included in the highlight. Genuine and heartfelt words of congratulations to a wonderful couple on a wonderful wedding day. Though how our videographers and cinematographers chose to end the reel was rather special, a final shot of Katie & Mike again at the waterfall for their first look, sharing a kiss. A scene one could only dream of, one that Katie had genuinely dreamed of having, and one that affirmed again that “dreams do come true”. To conclude, we here at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography, cinematography and photobooth group, wish Katie & Mike all the very best in their future together, and hope as they do as well that all their dreams be fulfilled to the fullest.
