For many of us, a wedding is a time of joy and laughter, of smiles and happiness. In this sense, a wedding festival spanning three days is a perfect fit for all the precious moments and heartfelt memories of the bride and groom during the happiest times of their lives. Such was the wedding celebration of Danish and Kiran, a young Pakistani wedding couple whose lives together have only just begun, but who are so familiar together that you’d say they were a match made in heaven. Danish & Kiran picked us, SDE Weddings to film and videograph their weekend wedding that feast took place June 28 to 30, 2013 in Mississauga, at the Sahara banquet hall and Payal banquet hall. The spirited duo were so sure of their commitments to each other that they needed no rehearsals for the ceremonies, and thus the wedding proper felt akin to a surreal and organic experience, where emotions truly came from the heart, and made for many wonderful scenes for our Toronto wedding videographers & cinematographers capture on film.
It is a timeless proverb that says that ‘it takes two to tango’, and such a saying rang especially true for the wedding of Michael and Sainan, a couple from California who chose Toronto as their wedding day destination, and SDE Weddings as their premier Toronto wedding videographers to handle the tumultuous task of filming and documenting the biggest day of the couples’ relationship. Michael, originally a Torontonian, met the love of his life, Sainan, in a saucy Latin dance class while at school in California. The two hit it off immediately, and not just on the dance floor. Michael saw a rhythm in Sainan that resonated with his own, and as the pair went through the motions, step by step, they slowly formed an unyielding bond that would shuffle their steps straight to the wedding aisle.
Last Friday, August 30th, Mehwish & Fahad held their Pakistani wedding reception party at the Pearson Convention Centre in Brampton. With around 95 guests in attendance at the reception, it was a very lively evening filled with laughter & dancing. Adil, Mehwish’s brother, thought it would be a great idea to entertain the wedding guests with our open concept photo booth, so he hired us earlier in the week as a wedding gift for his little sister. Throughout the night, everyone enjoyed the celebration of Mehwish & Fahad’s marriage and took turns to get their picture taken at the photobooth.
Here are some of the photos taken from our photobooth during Mehwish & Fahad’s Pakistani wedding reception.

A bright and early summer morning spelled a day of good fortune on June 13, 2013, a particularly special day for Emily and Ernest, a Cantonese couple from Toronto. The special occasion, sure enough, was their wedding, and we at SDE weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography group, were delighted to play a part in preparing, filming and finalizing the wedding day media for their beloved wedding celebration. Ceremonies took place at the couples’ family residences, and Toronto’s famous botanical gardens, with the procession and reception held at Toronto’s Westin Prince Hotel, altogether an elegant choice of locations for what would be an all-too memorable day.
An individual’s life is a journey which moves inextricably forward, traced out by the threads of fate. However, one never knows if and when the precious moment comes when two threads cross paths. Such is the story of Sam and Dina, a couple who met through the seemingly random entanglement of destiny, and we at SDE Weddings were very pleased to be witness to their consummation of love, where their two threads in twain were tumultuously tied together, in a bond that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. The newlyweds were married on Saturday, May 18th, 2013, in Merciful Redeemer Parish in Mississauga, in an Assyrian wedding. Indeed continuing a theme in our work, we at SDE Weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videography and cinematography group, were more than proud to be a part of many multicultural and traditional wedding services here in Toronto, the proverbial melting pot of Canada’s multi-ethnic society.
A wedding ceremony is more than just a bountiful gift of oneself to another, but a collective memory shared by those in witness of a lifelong commitment of love. That’s why we at SDE weddings, Toronto’s premier wedding videographers and cinematographers, feel privileged to give the opportunity for couples and their loved ones to treasure these precious moments forever. A fusion of traditional and modern was a central theme for the particular wedding ceremony of Dora Yuen and Cheuk-man Kong, who tied their uncoilable knot on April 13th, 2013, to the celebration of their families and friends at Graydon Hall in Toronto. The couple held a traditional Chinese wedding, with a few creative twists of their own, as we’ll see below.
On June 5th of 2013, we traveled to Ryerson University in the heart of downtown Toronto to set up a photobooth for Mira’s 5th Decade Lunch Party. Happy birthday Mira!! Our photobooth was a blast, all of the guests had a great time taking silly photos. Here are some of the highlight photobooth photos from the event.
On June 1st of 2013, we had the honor of filming Aneidah & Anson’s wedding that took place at the Destiny Banquet Hall (4220 Steeles Ave West) in Toronto. Our day started in the morning with members of our wedding videography team arriving separately at Aneidah & Anson’s houses to film them getting ready for their wedding.
Once the preparations were done, we traveled to the Destiny Banquet Hall for the ceremony. Anson enter the Banquet Hall in style, he arrived at the venue with his entourage and his very own Tassa Band. After Anson’s grand entrance, Aneidah entered the venue with her father by her arms. During her entrance, Aneidah’s cousin, Aliya, sang the song Love Me Tender by Norah Jones. The actual Nikkah wedding ceremony lasted over 45 minutes. Proceeding the Nikkah wedding ceremony, the wedding guests were treated with a buffet lunch while the bride & groom traveled to McMichael Canadian Art Collection (10365 Islington Ave, Vaughan L0J1C0) for family portraits and wedding photos with their wedding photographer Dragi Andovski from DA Photography.
Earlier in April, Nawaz hired us to film his surprise wedding proposal to his long term girlfriend Zahra. During our initial meeting, we found out that Nawaz works part-time as a wedding photographer. Since Nawaz had a photography background, it was important that we capture this special moment in his life on video and all of its important details. Nawaz had enlisted the help of his friends to decorate his backyard and had also hired a team of photographers to photograph this moment as well.
Last year, we were very excited and happy to film Joe & Karen’s wedding at the Berkeley Church in Toronto. The day started for our team of wedding videographers with Karen getting ready at her parent’s house in Scarborough and Joe getting ready at his house in Richmond Hill. After Joe finished getting ready, he traveled with his groomsman to Karen’s house. Upon their arrival, Joe and his groomsman had to complete a series of challenges and tasks set by the bridesmaid before they can enter the house.
In the wedding highlight video that we posted below, you can actually see Joe’s real reaction as he sees his Bride for the first time. You can tell by the look on his face that Joe was very stunned by how gorgeous Karen looked in her beautiful white wedding dress.
