On Saturday, August 24th, 2013, we had the pleasure of attending and videographing James & Kamila’s wedding. We were really excited to film this wedding because this was our first time filming a Polish wedding.

The day started at 7 in the morning with Kamila getting her makeup & hair done at Donato’s in Square One Mississauga. While Kamila was getting ready, the groom & his groomsmen were preparing at James’ apartment. Once Kamila was done, she went back to her mother’s house to put on her beautiful wedding dress. At around 11AM, the groom & the groomesmen also arrived at Kamila’s mother’s house. After everyone settled down from all the excitement, the Bride & Groom started the Polish Blessing Ritual from the parents. Once the Polish wedding rituals were done, we traveled to the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church for the wedding ceremony. (4260 Cawthra Road Mississauga)

The wedding ceremony lasted for over a hour and it was followed by weddings portraits with friends and family at the Church. At around 2PM, the wedding party traveled to Kleinburg Historic Railway Station (Main Street Kleinburg) for more wedding photos. While at the Kleinburg Historic Railway Station, we set aside 20 minutes to shoot a quick wedding skit which you can see in the wedding highlight video that we made. (Posted below)

When the wedding photos were done, we traveled to The Manor (16750 Weston Road, Kettleby) for the wedding reception. For their wedding entrance, James & Kamila did a very funny fishing hook dance. We really enjoyed the food from the reception, we had a three course meal catered by the talented chefs at The Manor, there was a dessert table and Pierogi (Polish Dumplings) was served at the end of the night. We also really enjoyed the Polish wedding atmosphere as there was a lot of drinking and a live band performing throughout the evening.

What was really heartwarming about the wedding was that James mentioned in his speech that he had a dream the day before where he turned old. In his dream, he was separated from Kamila by the nurses at the retirement home and they had to live at different rooms. He was terrified at the thought of being separated from the woman who he loves so much and so dearly.

What a fantastic wedding!!! Once again, we were very honored to be part of James & Kamila’s wedding and having the privilege of filming all the important moments.
